Aloha friends. We wanted to send you a greeting from Hawaii, and let you know that Kauai is still as beautiful as ever. Please come and visit us! We miss you. Each one of you enriches our lives. Life offers so many opportunities to rise above the challenges we all face. We hope all is well with you and your near and dear ones.
In October we were pleased to win in the Hawaii Jewelers Association design competition. Dana won first place in the Colored Stone category with an exquisite blue Sapphire pendant in 18-karat yellow gold, channel set with diamonds, entitled “Radiance“.
Dana also entered her rendition of a Tropic Bird with a lovely Tahitian Pearl and a diamond eye. Though it didn’t win, it was number one in our hearts.
Mark won the Peoples Choice Award, i.e., voted by our peers in the jewelry business as opposed to a panel of judges, for a Steve Walters black onyx carving set in 18-karat yellow gold, accented by diamonds and a white freshwater pearl, entitled “Mana“.
Dana had the extraordinary holiday this year to New York, then on to Paris and then a week of hot air ballooning in Austria, back to Paris for another short stay and a day or so in California, in Marina Del Rey.
Mark just returned from a trip to India, via Japan to get a little respite from the cares and worries of the world. Fascinating to see a culture that is so different than ours, but to see that people can be wonderful the world over.
We have changed a few of the jewels on the page below and we have added a new page of Sale items. You know that the economy is very challenging right now so we would like to offer some tremendous savings on our finest gems, many are one of a kind. We hope this will give you a chance to purchase something special for the upcoming holiday season, at a substantial savings to you. Please follow the link to the Sale Page.
You have probably become aware of the issue of Conflict Diamonds recently. We would like to assure you that we only buy our diamonds from dealers that comply with the Kimberly Process, i.e., diamonds that don’t fund civil wars, or human suffering. If you are interested is this issue, you can google conflict diamonds, or try www.diamondfacts.org or www.conflictdiamonds.com.
We thank all of you who have given us the opportunity to make beautiful jewels to enrich all of our lives. These are some of the exquisite designs from this past year.
